Warranty and Repair Policy

We Stand Behind Our Instruments

We build PhotosynQ instruments to perform reliably in normal research and educational use. If your instrument experiences a defect in materials or workmanship within six months of delivery, we will work with you to repair it. When repair is not possible, we will provide a replacement instrument. Because each instrument is tracked individually, replacement units may be assigned a new serial number and MAC ID.

Limited Warranty Coverage

PhotosynQ instruments are covered by a six (6) month limited warranty from the date of delivery to the original purchaser.

This warranty covers defects in:

  • materials

  • workmanship

  • manufacturing

under normal intended use and in accordance with PhotosynQ’s instructions and documentation.

If a covered issue arises during the warranty period, PhotosynQ will, at its discretion:

  • repair the instrument within a reasonable time, or

  • if repair is not reasonably possible, replace the instrument with the same model or a comparable replacement

What Is Not Covered

This limited warranty does not cover damage, failure, or malfunction resulting from:

  • excessive mishandling

  • misuse, abuse, or neglect

  • accidents, drops, impacts, crushing, or improper transport

  • exposure to liquids, chemicals, contaminants, or environmental conditions outside normal use

  • improper storage

  • operation outside recommended instructions or intended use

  • unauthorized modification, opening, disassembly, repair, or attempted repair

  • use with incompatible accessories, chargers, power sources, software, or peripherals

  • cosmetic damage that does not affect performance

  • normal wear and tear

  • consumable parts or accessories, unless defective upon delivery

  • loss or theft

  • damage occurring during shipment to PhotosynQ due to inadequate packaging

Repair or Replacement

PhotosynQ does not accept returns. All sales are final.

If your instrument has a covered warranty issue, we will first work to diagnose and repair it within a reasonable time. If we determine that repair is not reasonably possible, we may provide a replacement instrument instead.

Please note that any replacement instrument may be assigned a new serial number and MAC ID. A replacement instrument will continue under the remainder of the original warranty period, or thirty (30) days from shipment of the replacement, whichever is longer, unless otherwise required by law.

How to Request Warranty Service

To request warranty service, please contact PhotosynQ and provide:

  • proof of purchase

  • instrument model

  • serial number, if available

  • a description of the issue

  • any troubleshooting details we may reasonably request

We may ask you to complete basic troubleshooting steps before authorizing repair or replacement.

Unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing:

  • customers are responsible for packaging the instrument securely for shipment

  • customers are responsible for shipping costs to PhotosynQ

  • PhotosynQ will cover reasonable return shipping costs for valid warranty repairs or replacements
